Hadhramaut Governorate, eastern Yemen, witnessed new popular protests on Wednesday denouncing the lack of services and the collapse of living conditions.

The people of Ash Shihr District, including hundreds of students, took to the streets in a mass demonstration to protest the power outage and the deterioration of the national currency.

The protesters blocked the international road passing through the district, burned tires in the streets, and chanted slogans indignant at the dire living conditions.

Yesterday, Tuesday, popular protests erupted in the city of Mukalla, the administrative center of the governorate, amid escalating anger and discontent among citizens in various areas under the control of the government loyal to the Saudi-Emirati coalition.
