Iran Defense Ministry: Enemy’s attempts to dismantle missile and defense capabilities have failed

The spokesperson for Iran’s Defence Ministry, General Reza Talaei-Nik, has stated that the enemy’s attempts to dismantle Iran’s missile and defense capabilities have failed

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, Talaei-Nik said on Saturday that the country’s armed forces-maintained control over the skies of Israeli-held territories up until the ceasefire.

He added that “a significant portion of these capabilities remains intact and has not yet been used.”

He also emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s control and has become an important leverage for the implementation of the Iranian people’s demands.

On February 28, the US and Israeli enemy  launched military operations against Iran. That same day, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the strikes. In retaliation, Iran launched missile and drone strikes on Israel and other countries of the region housing US military assets.

Iran, the US, and their allies agreed to a two-week ceasefire on the night of April 8, 2026.
