Lebanese Red Cross: Journalist Amal Khalil Killed in Israeli Strike

The Lebanese Red Cross announced that journalist Amal Khalil was killed on Wednesday evening in an Israeli airstrike in the town of Al-Tiri, southern Lebanon, while performing her duties.

Lebanon’s Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, condemned the incident, describing the targeting of journalists as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and calling for international action.

According to official sources, the strike targeted a house where Khalil and journalist Zeinab Faraj had taken shelter after an earlier attack. Rescue teams were reportedly obstructed, and an ambulance came under fire while attempting to evacuate the wounded.

Lebanon’s Ministry of Health denounced the incident as a serious violation, urging the international community to act to stop such attacks and ensure accountability.
