“Gaza Health”: Thousands of patients, wounded in Strip are still waiting for permission to travel

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip reported on Tuesday that thousands of patients and wounded registered on waiting lists for travel abroad for treatment are still waiting for permission to travel.

In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry explained that only 29 patients were able to leave today via the Rafah land crossing, while only 20 patients were able to leave yesterday towards Jordanian hospitals.

The ministry affirmed that the small numbers of departing patients do not meet the urgent need for travel of those on the lists who are suffering from difficult health and humanitarian conditions amid the worsening health crisis in the Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza called on relevant authorities to accelerate medical evacuation procedures for these patients and to enable their safe access to specialized hospitals outside the Gaza Strip.
