The United Nations said Israeli forces have expanded their presence in Gaza by introducing an “orange line” within the previously defined “yellow line.”
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated that new maps shared with humanitarian staff require coordination with Israel when crossing the orange line, raising concerns about access and safety for aid operations.
The UN warned that the measure further complicates humanitarian work in Gaza, where conditions remain critical.
According to Palestinian sources, the war since October 7, 2023, has caused over 72,601 deaths and 172,419 injuries, mostly among women and children, with many still trapped under rubble.
Despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, violations continue, along with severe restrictions on humanitarian aid and ongoing incursions beyond the designated separation line.
