The cumulative toll of victims of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has risen, as of Saturday, to 16,436 people, including 4,246 martyrs and 12,190 injured, since the beginning of the latest Israeli escalation on March 2.
According to the daily statistical report issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Health and published by the National News Agency, the casualties over the past 24 hours increased by 3 martyrs and 4 injured.
The report stated that the number of martyrs and injured among health sector workers reached 135 martyrs and 406 injured, as a result of 176 attacks carried out by the Israeli army against ambulance teams and medical personnel.
Since March 2, the Israeli escalation has intensified, targeting Lebanese towns, villages, cities, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in hundreds of deaths, thousands of injuries, and the displacement of around 1.5 million Lebanese citizens, most of whom are not registered in shelter centers.
