Iranian Army deploys rapid reaction forces at borders

The commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force said the deployment of rapid reaction, special, and assault units along the country’s borders has eliminated any possibility of an enemy ground incursion into Iran.

Brig. Gen. Ali Jahanshahi made the remarks during a visit to Army Ground Force units stationed in Iran’s border regions, where he said the country’s frontiers remain secure due to the readiness of the armed forces and the coordination between the Army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the Law Enforcement Command.

“The deployment and preparedness of the Army Ground Force, alongside the IRGC and police forces, have removed any enemy audacity to carry out a ground operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.

Jahanshahi praised the efforts of border forces, particularly in recent months, and commemorated those killed in what he referred to as the recent imposed war.

He also claimed that countries that once regarded the presence of U.S. military bases as a source of security have now concluded that such bases are instead a source of insecurity and instability.

The commander emphasized that the Army’s rapid reaction, special operations, and assault units remain on high alert, adding that the vigilance of Iran’s armed forces continues to ensure the security of the country’s borders.
