The Pakistan Army said three soldiers were killed and four injured when armed men attacked a Frontier Corps camp in Karachi.
The army said security forces killed three attackers and arrested one after an assault that began with a blast at the gate.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and vowed to continue action against armed groups.
