UNIFIL said on Saturday that targeting military personnel is a violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
It offered condolences to the Lebanese army and families of soldiers killed in an airstrike in Nabatieh earlier today, according to the National News Agency.
UNIFIL stressed that such incidents are a serious breach of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and of Resolution 1701.
It also noted continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon.
