Yemen Scholars Association condemns Islamic silence on Gaza, call for mobilization

Yemen Scholars Association strongly condemned Arab and Islamic silence over the ongoing events in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, asserting that such inaction constitutes a grave crime comparable to genocide itself.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the association called on peoples across the Muslim world to adopt firm positions, raise their voices in protest, and support the “axis of jihad and resistance,” describing it as the bright face of the Islamic nation.

The association also denounced, in the strongest terms, what it called a “major act of betrayal and collaboration” by the Lebanese authorities following the signing of a framework agreement with the Israeli entity. It held the Lebanese leadership and its Arab backers fully responsible for the consequences of the agreement, warning that it could fuel internal discord in Lebanon to the benefit of the Israeli enemy.

The statement further praised Hezbollah’s steadfast stance in confronting the Israeli enemy, while condemning Israeli incursions into Syria and criticizing the silence of the armed groups exercising control in parts of the country.

On the regional front, the Yemen Scholars Association commended the resilience and achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing that the principle of the “Unity of the Fronts” is an Islamic doctrine ordained by Allah rather than merely a political concept.

Concluding its statement, the association endorsed the positions outlined by Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and called on the Yemeni people to undertake broad public mobilization and maintain a high state of readiness to secure their legitimate rights.
