Yemen’s FM warns Israeli enemy against continued attacks on Lebanon

Yemen’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has renewed its warning to the Israeli enemy against continuing its military operations in Lebanon, saying the attacks have resulted in thousands of casualties and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure since the escalation began in early March.

In a statement, the ministry described the Israeli offensive as a “flagrant violation of international law” and a breach of the memorandum of understanding that called for the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon.

The ministry said Israel’s ongoing escalation aims to undermine efforts and initiatives seeking to end hostilities across the region and obstruct attempts to achieve security and stability.

It further warned that the “Axis of Jihad and Resistance” would not remain idle in the face of Israel’s continued escalation.

The statement also praised the operations carried out by the Lebanese resistance against Israeli forces, describing them as a legitimate act of self-defense guaranteed under international norms, conventions, and laws. According to the ministry, those operations have inflicted significant losses on the Israeli enemy.

The ministry additionally referred to recent remarks by Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, who affirmed Yemen’s continued readiness to respond to any escalation or developments involving the US or Israel that target the region, seek to resume exclusive pressure on Gaza, or threaten any front within the Axis of Resistance and the wider Islamic world.
