The Yemen Scholars Association strongly condemned the Saudi massacre targeting inmates and visitors at the Al-Jawf correctional facility, saying it reflects the Saudi regime’s hostile and criminal conduct, which it said parallels the crimes of the Israeli enemy in Palestine and Lebanon and those of the US enemy in Iran.
In a statement, the association held the Saudi regime responsible for the heinous crime, saying it adds to its record of crimes against Yemen over 12 years of aggression and blockade.
It called on Yemenis to take active action and use the attack as further motivation to pursue their legitimate rights, including lifting the blockade and ending the aggression.
It also urged the Yemeni Armed Forces to respond strongly to the attack and to Saudi efforts to deploy its mercenaries to maintain the blockade.
The association called on Yemeni tribes to remain fully prepared to support the Armed Forces and continue mobilizing personnel for the fronts, while praising recent strikes targeting Saudi enemy military concentrations and weapons supplies.
It further urged greater internal cohesion, a boycott of hostile media engaged in psychological warfare, and renewed general mobilization and military training. It called on scholars and preachers to step up awareness and mobilization efforts.
Regionally, the association condemned Israeli enemy crimes in Gaza, the West Bank and Al-Quds, including violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as Israeli enemy actions in Lebanon and US crimes in Iran. It called for Islamic solidarity against the United States and the Israeli enemy.
The association also condemned the silence of Arab and Muslim governments and peoples, urging them to reject humiliation and stand in support of Palestinians, Lebanese, Iranian, Yemeni and Iraqi resistance movements.
