Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported a statement from the Public Relations of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard stating: “The Hamza Sayyed al-Shuhada Headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard ground forces announced the identification and targeting of the hiding place of terrorist group elements in the Jiznakan and Balisan areas of the Kurdistan region, following effective intelligence monitoring.”
It added that the location was precisely targeted by suicide drones, and the operation resulted in the killing of three elements at the operation site and the serious injury of five others.
It clarified that the targeted separatist elements are among the main elements involved in the assassination of martyr Mehdi Salmasi, a member of the “Faraja” security forces, in 2017 in the city of Piranshahr, noting that work is currently underway to identify the rest of the killers.
