Israeli enemy warplanes on Thursday launched a series of airstrikes targeting residential buildings in the towns of al-Majadel, Jbaa, Mahrouna, and Baraachit in southern Lebanon, local news media outlets reported.
The Al-Manar website, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, reported that this aggression comes just one day after Israeli and Lebanese officials held a rare face-to-face meeting under the ceasefire monitoring committee on the northern border.
The “Mechanism” Committee included former Ambassador to the United States, Simon Karam, along with officers from the Lebanese Army led by the commander of the South Litani Sector, Brigadier General Nicholas Tabet, according to Al-Manar.
The website also reported that the Israeli army had previously threatened to bomb residential buildings in the towns of Almajdel and Baraachit in southern Lebanon before carrying out its attacks today.
In separate incidents, an enemy Israeli drone dropped a bomb near Lebanese fishermen off Naqoura coast, while another hostile drone dropped stun grenade in the southern border town of Adaisseh.
