Basem Naim: Hamas Remains Committed to Negotiations Despite Israel’s Non-Compliance with Ceasefire for 195 Days

Basem Naim, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), affirmed on Saturday that the movement remains committed to negotiations despite the passage of 195 days since the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which Israel has failed to uphold.

Naim stated in a post on the “X” platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): “We remain committed to negotiations, but the envoy of the so-called Peace Council, Mladenov, insists on moving to the second phase without any real guarantees for the implementation of the first phase.”
