Two Palestinian resistance fighters were martyred on Sunday after carrying out a shooting operation near Qalqilya City in the Occupied West Bank.
One Jewish settler was killed and six others were injured, some seriously, in the shooting operation that occurred at three locations inside and near the Kochav Ya’ir area of central Israel, near the border with the West Bank, according to Hebrew news reports.
According to SAFA news, two Palestinian shooters were killed, one at a gas station inside the settlement of Kochav Ya’ir and another one inside a quarry near al-Tayba City in 1948 occupied Palestine.
One of the martyrs was identified as Omar Yassin, a 21-year-old from the Arab city of Tayba.
This operation came just hours after a car‑ramming incident that injured one extremist settler on a road near the illegal Efrat settlement south of Bethlehem.
