Iranian lawmaker Ebrahim Rezaei said on Monday that Tehran had maintained neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine war through diplomacy, but the time had come to punish Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the alleged attack on an Iranian ship.
Rezaei said Iran should also recognize Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Crimea as Russian territories. His remarks followed Zelensky’s acknowledgment that Ukrainian forces targeted an Iranian commercial vessel in the Caspian Sea.
