US Senator Bernie Sanders said Saturday that President Donald Trump has barred CNN, MS NOW and POLITICO from entering the White House, while threatening other critical news organizations, including The New York Times and The Washington Post.
In a post on X, Sanders said Trump is seeking to control the flow of information and silence media outlets that could hold his administration accountable.
He said he rejects attempts to undermine the First Amendment, the US Constitution and democracy, declaring, “We will not accept authoritarianism.”
