The official spokesperson for the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Hazem Qassem, affirmed that the movement places the supreme interest of the Palestinian people at the center of its political and diplomatic activity.
Qassem said in a post on his Facebook page, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba): “We are conducting the Cairo negotiations with a unified national position, aiming to prevent the Israeli enemy from continuing the war of extermination, open the way for reconstruction, and ensure that the national committee manages Gaza in a professional manner to launch a real relief process that alleviates the scale of the catastrophe we are experiencing in Gaza.”
