Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said Saturday that repeated Israeli military threats and forced displacement in Lebanon are worsening civilian suffering and reducing access to safety and basic services.
In a post on X, MSF said thousands in Beirut’s southern suburbs lack regular access to essential services, as repeated strikes have damaged roads, health facilities, and water networks.
The organization warned that continued airstrikes in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley could expand the crisis further, forcing more displacement and increasing pressure on an already strained health system.
MSF called for protecting civilians and ensuring access to healthcare and basic services.
Since March 2, Israeli strikes have intensified across Lebanon, causing heavy casualties and displacing around 1.5 million people, despite a ceasefire agreement announced in mid-April.
